3.12 Real Timer Test
To
execute the Real Timer Test, select 9 from the DIAGNOSTIC TEST MENU, press Enter
and follow the directions
on
the screen. The Real Timer Test contains three subtests that test
the T
1900rr
1900C' s real timer functions. Move the highlight bar
to
the subtest you want
to
execute and press
Enter.
Subtest
01
Real Time
A new date and time can be input during this subtest.
To
execute the real time
subtest follow these steps:
1.
Select Subtest 01; the following message appears:

PRESS [ENTER]
KEY
TO
EXIT
TEST
2.
If
the
CUlTent
date is not correct, input the correct date at the
"Enter
new
date"
prompt and press
Enter.
The following prompt will appear:

3.
If
the current time is not correct, input the correct time in 24-hour fonnat.
Pressing Enter toggles between the time and the date.
To
exit, press Ctrl +
Break.
Subtest 02 Backup Memory

This subtest performs the following backup memory check:
o Writes I bit
of
"on"
data
to
addresses Olh through 80h
o Writes I bit
of
"0fI" data
to
addresses FEh through 7Fh
o Writes the data pattern AAh through 55h
to
the RTC 50-byte memory
(address
OEh
to
3Fh)
The subtest then reads and compares this data with the original data.
To exit, press
Ctrl + Break.
