3.16 Hard Disk Format
The hard disk fonnat function performs a low-level (Physical) fonnat
of
the hard disk and
executes the following track fonnats and check:
1.
All track FORMAT
2. Good track FORMAT
3.
Bad track FORMAT
4. Bad track CHECK
C4UTION: The contents
of
the
hard
disk will be erased when this program is ex-
ecuted Before executing the function. transfer the contents
of
the hard disk onto a
floppy disk(s}. This can
be done with the Toshiba MS-DOS BACKUP command. See
the Toshiba MS-DOS manual
for
details.

all the tracks
on
the hard disk as
shown
in
Table 3-6 below:
NOTE:
Before executing the
All
Track
FORMAT
option.
checkfor
bad
tracks using the
Bad
Track CHECK option or display a list
of
bad
tracks
ontheHDD.
