4.11 Display Mask
Removing the Display Mask
To remove the T2150 series display mask, follow the steps below and refer to figure 4-22.
1. Turn off the power. Disconnect the AC power cord and all external cables con-
nected to the T2150 series.
2. Remove the battery pack, optional memory card, and optional PCMCIA card as
described in sections 4.2 through 4.4.
NOTE: It is not necessary to remove the display assembly.
3. Remove two rubber seals from the display hinges to expose two screws securing
the display mask (figure 4-22).
4. Remove the two M2.5x6 screws that were covered by the rubber seals (figure
4-22).
5. Carefully insert your fingers between the mask and the LCD panel and pry open
the latches. Start with the six latches across the top of the display mask (figure
4-22).
6. Continue unlatching the mask along the sides (four latches on each side), at the
bottom (three latches) and display supports (figure 4-22). Latches at each display
support are not indicated in the illustration.
