Installing the Backup Battery and Microphone
WARNING: If you replace the backup battery, be sure to use only the same model
battery or an equivalent battery recommended by Toshiba. Installation of the wrong
battery can cause the battery to explode.
To install the T4900CT’s backup battery and microphone, follow the steps below and refer to
figures 4-18 through 4-20.
1. Fit the two notches on the microphone onto two prongs on the computer (figure
4-18).

2. Secure the backup battery cable with tape. Part of the cable is wrapped under
the battery’s green plastic cover. When you tape the cable, be sure it is aligned
with the part that is under the green cover and leave a small loop so it won’t be
too long to lie flat at the connector (figure 4-19).
