3.29 Sound Test Program
This section describes how to perform the sound test program to check if the sound functions
of the computer are working properly.
NOTE:
You need the sound test disk, an external microphone and headphones
to perform this test. You must install the sound test program onto the
hard disk to conduct the sound test.
WARNING:
The system is capable of producing high volume sound, so when you use
the headphones be careful to set the volume low and adjust it as
necessary. Using the headphones at full volume could damage your
ears.
To start the sound test program, follow these steps:
Make sure the write protect tab on the sound test disk is disabled. Insert the sound test disk in
the floppy disk drive and turn on the computer. The following SOUND TEST menu will
appear:

Press 1, 2, 3 or 4 key to perform the corresponding sub test.
To quit the sound test program, eject the floppy disk and turn the computer off while the
menu above is displayed.
