6 TOSHIBA XM-6201 CD-ROM Drive
To add a SCSI device to your computer, the computer must have a SCSI interface card
already in place. The interface card fits into one of the slots inside your computer and
connects to SCSI devices via a 50-core cable.
Your SCSI interface card will have been supplied with drivers for a range of SCSI
devices, including CD-ROM drives. You should now:
❑
Check that you have a SCSI interface card in your computer. If you don’t
have a SCSI interface card you should contact your dealer and obtain one
❑
Locate the original disks supplied with the SCSI interface card. You will
need to load drivers from these disks when the CD-ROM drive is fitted.
NOTE
Before you begin installing the CD-ROM drive, make sure the
computer is switched off and the power cable is disconnected
from the computer.
