SIPA Operation
Simple Intelligent Park Assist (SIPA)
Available as of Active grade (NMSC to localise), Simple
Intelligent Park Assist (SIPA) is a parking assist system
designed for parallel parking. It uses the Toyota Touch™
screen as driver interface
SIPA diers from the traditional Intelligent Park Assist
(IPA) system in that it uses sensors and a clearance sonar
Minimum clearance needed for parking is the vehicle’s
length +90cm, whereas traditional IPA requires vehicle
length +190cm
When conrming the desired parking space, the sonar
detects vehicles and curb automatically, whereas on the
traditional system the sonar only detects vehicles.
