8-2. Steps to take in an emergency

Brake Override System warning light (if equipped)
Indicates that the accelerator and brake pedal are being
depressed simultaneously if the warning light comes on
(→P. 195)
→ Release the accelerator or brake pedal.
Indicates a malfunction in the Brake Override System if
the warning light flashes
→ Have the vehicle inspected by any authorized Toyota
dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and
equipped professional immediately.
Open door warning light (warning buzzer)

Indicates that a door is not fully closed
→ Check that all the doors are closed.
Driver’s and front passenger’s seat belt reminder light

Warns the driver and front passenger to fasten his/her
seat belt

Rear passengers’ seat belt reminder lights (warning
buzzer)

Low fuel level warning light
Indicates remaining fuel is approximately 12.0 L (3.2 gal.,
2.6 Imp.gal.) or less
→ Refuel the vehicle.
