AM/SAT

(AM and Satellite radio)
Push the ā€œAM/SATā€ button to turn on the
radio and select the AM band. The indica-
tor light will come on and ā€œAMā€ will appear
on the display.
XM satellite radio—
Push the ā€œAM/SATā€ button to turn on the
radio and select the XM band. ā€œSAT1ā€,
ā€œSAT2ā€ or ā€œSAT3ā€ will appear on the dis-
play. This system allows you to set eigh-
teen XM channels, three for each of the
preset button.
Error messages
If the satellite radio tuner malfunctions,
your audio system will display one of the
six following error messages.
ā€œANTENNAā€:
ī˜‚ The XM antenna is not connected.
Check whether the XM antenna cable
is attached securely.
ī˜‚ A short- circuit occurs in the antenna or
the surrounding antenna cable. See a
Toyota certified dealer.
ā€œUPDATINGā€:
ī˜‚ You have not subscribed to the XM
satellite radio. The radio is being up-
dated with the latest encryption code.
Contact the XM satellite radio for sub-
scription information. When a contact is
canceled, you can choose the ā€œCH000ā€
and all free- to- air channels.
ī˜‚ The premium channel you selected is
not authorized. Wait for about 2 sec-
onds until the radio returns to the pre-
vious channel or ā€œCH001ā€. If it does
not change automatically, select anoth-
er channel. If you want to listen to the
premium channel, contact the XM satel-
lite radio.
ā€œNO SIGNALā€: The XM signal is too
weak at the current location. Wait until
your vehicle reaches a location with a
stronger signal.
ā€œLOADINGā€: The unit is acquiring audio
or program information. Wait until the unit
has received the information.
ā€œOFF AIRā€: The channel you selected is
not broadcasting any programming. Select
another channel.
ā€œ---ā€: The channel you selected is no
longer available. Wait for about 2 seconds
until the radio returns to the previous
channel or ā€œCH001ā€. If it does not change
automatically, select another channel.
