Introduction
Pre-DeliveryService(PDS)isacriticalstepinsatisfyingyourdealership’snewcarcustomers.
CustomerfeedbackindicatesthefollowingareasdeservespecialattentionwhenperformingPDS:
•Carefulinspectionforpaintchips/scratchesandbodydents/dings.
•Properoperationofelectricalaccessories(includinginteriorlight,clock,andradioreset).
•Interiorcleanliness.
•Properfunctionofmechanicalsystems.
CustomerretentionandpropermaintenanceofvehicleshasbeenamajorfocusforToyota.Tohelp
remindcustomersthatregularoilchangesareessentialtothepropermaintenanceoftheirvehicle,
dealersarerequiredtobegininstallingafirstoilchangereminderstickerpriortodelivery.Bydoing
this,customerswillberemindedtoreturntoyourdealershipfortheirfirstoilchange.yourcurrentoil
changereminderstickermaybeused.(SeePDSCheckSheetitem8ofFinalInspection&Cleaning.)
ANewPDSCheckSheethasbeendevelopedforthe2011modelyearPrius.Somecheckpoints
havebeenadded,expandedorclarified.TSBsareavailableforitemsinboldtype.
