Login Local Mode
Firstly, configure the Telnet login mode as “login local” in the prompted DOS screen shown in
Figure 1-7.

Now, you can logon by Telnet in login local mode.
1. Make sure the switch and the PC are in the same LAN. Click Start → Run to open the Run
window, and type cmd in the prompt Run window as Figure 1-8 and click OK.

2. Open Telnet, then type telnet 192.168.0.1 in the command prompt shown as Figure 1-9, and
press the Enter button.
