What to do if my Tramigo Car Alarm unit will not respond to SMS?
    • B
      Brittany TranAug 18, 2025
If your Tramigo Car Alarm unit isn't responding to SMS commands, consider the following: * **GSM issues:** If the GSM light is on or flashing, address those problems first. * **Network conditions:** The GSM network might be slow, especially during peak times. Wait for the SMS to go through. * **Unit state:** If the unit is sleeping, either wait for it to wake up or activate the motion detector. * **Authorization:** Ensure your phone number is added to the user list and that your user authority is high enough for the command you're sending. Use the LISTUSER command to check your authority, as the T23 Series won't respond to unauthorized commands.

Why won't my Tramigo Car Alarm turn on?
    • M
      Mark KennedyAug 21, 2025
If your Tramigo Car Alarm isn't turning on, here are a few things to check: * **Power switch:** Make sure you press the power switch for at least 2 seconds. * **Battery installation:** Confirm that the battery is properly installed and the battery cover is closed. Remember, the battery is essential for powering the unit, even when it's connected to a power source. * **Battery charge:** The battery might need recharging. If the lights are very dim, this is a good indication. Recharge the battery, noting that if it's completely discharged, the lights might not turn on for 1.5 hours. * **Power switch status:** The power switch may be disabled. Try removing and re-inserting the battery to resolve this.

What to do if my Tramigo Car Alarm GPS light is on?
    • E
      Emily WolfeAug 25, 2025
If the GPS light on your Tramigo Car Alarm is on, it means the unit doesn't have a current location. Here's what to check: * **Clear sky view:** Ensure the unit has a clear view of the sky. Obstructions like tall buildings, trees, heavy rain, or car tinting can interfere with GPS reception. * **Car tinting:** If car tinting is blocking the signal, move the unit outside the vehicle. If the light turns off, consider changing the tinting or installing an external GPS antenna (available with T23 or T23 Fleet). * **Long distance move:** If the unit has been moved a significant distance without a location fix (e.g., on a flight), remove and re-insert the battery to reset the location.

What to do if my Tramigo Car Alarm GSM light is flashing?
    • R
      Robert RodriguezAug 28, 2025
If the GSM light on your Tramigo Car Alarm is flashing, it means the T23 Series is trying to send an SMS but encountering a problem. Here's what to do: * **Check GSM signal:** Verify the presence of a GSM signal by using a mobile phone in the area or by trying to call the unit to see if you receive a ring tone. * **Wait for network:** The network might be busy. Wait a few minutes to see if the message gets through. * **Check account balance:** If it's a pre-paid account, ensure there's a sufficient balance. Add credit to the account. The unit should recover automatically, or you can send a BOOT command to reset it quickly. * **Verify user list:** If you've recently added a new user, double-check that the phone number is entered correctly.

How to reset Tramigo Car Alarm password if owner has forgotten it?
    • A
      Ashley LawrenceSep 1, 2025
If the owner of the Tramigo Car Alarm has forgotten their password, they can send the RESETSETTINGS command. This will reset the password back to 0000. Note that all other settings will also be reset, as if the unit were new, so the owner will need to register themselves again.

    • B
      Benjamin MooreSep 3, 2025
If the owner of the Tramigo Car Alarm has lost their phone, and a backup owner has been defined, use the backup owner's phone to add your new number. Use the command 'OWNER,password' to add your new number, then delete the old number using the DELUSER command.

Why is the time stamp wrong in my Tramigo Car Alarm SMS reports?
    • J
      Jill AndersonSep 7, 2025
The time stamp in your Tramigo Car Alarm SMS reports might be incorrect because the T23 Series needs a GPS fix to determine the time zone and a connection to the GSM network to determine the time. When first used, the time will show 00:00 Jan 01. Wait for the GPS and GSM lights to go off, then send the unit an SMS to check the time. If the GSM operator time is incorrect, use the TIME command to override it, as some GSM operators have issues with DST and roaming phones.

    Kevin BeardSep 10, 2025
Why are trip reports received when Tramigo Car Alarm vehicle is parked?
    • R
      Richard SmithSep 10, 2025
Trip reports might be received when your Tramigo Car Alarm-equipped vehicle is parked if the GPS signals are weak due to a limited view of the sky, causing them to bounce off buildings. This can generate short trip reports. To prevent this, turn off trip reporting when in these locations. Alternatively, if you're not interested in short trip reports, increase the minimum trip distance to 1 km or higher using the command: Set,MinTripDistance,1000.

What to do if my Tramigo Car Alarm GSM light is on solid?
    • D
      Daniel NewtonNov 14, 2025
If the GSM light on your Tramigo Car Alarm is constantly on, it indicates a problem with the GSM connection. Here's what you can check: * **No GSM signal:** Verify if there's a mobile signal in the area using your phone or by calling the unit to check for a ring tone. * **No SIM card/Expired SIM card:** Ensure a working SIM card is inserted, and it can send SMS messages. Replace the SIM card if necessary. * **SIM card issues:** Remove any PIN code set on the SIM card via your phone. Inspect the SIM for damage and clean the contacts. If issues persist, try another SIM card. * **Roaming/Low battery:** If abroad, ensure roaming is enabled on your SIM account. Recharge the unit for 5-15 minutes, as a low battery can affect GSM function. * **Unknown problem:** As a last resort, remov...
