Compressor Nameplate
The «compressor» nameplate provides the following infor-
mation :
- Compressor model number
- Compressor electrical characteristics
- Utilization Range
- Recommended refrigerant
Storage
Extended storage of the chiller prior to installation requires
the following precautionary measures :
1. Store the chiller in a secure area
2. At least every three months (quarterly), check the pres-
sure in the refrigerant circuit to verify that the refriger-
ant charge is intact. If it is not, contact a qualified ser-
vice organization and the appropriate Trane sales office.
Pre-installation
Report any damage incurred during handling or installa-
tion to the Trane sales office immediately. An installation
check sheet is provided at the end of the manual.
Location requirements
Noise considerations
Locate the unit away from sound-sensitive areas. If
required, install rubber vibration isolators in all water pip-
ing and use flexible electrical conduit. Refer to «Unit iso-
lation». Consult an acoustical engineer for critical appli-
cations.
