12.8 Event Notification
Navigate to the Switch > Event Notification > SNMP Trap menu path to display the SNMP Trap Hosts
Configuration table. Here you can add and configure up to six SNMP Trap hosts.
Click a line to display its configurable parameters:
Parameters:
No: Displays the instance number for this line in the table.
Version: The SNMP version (v2c).
Server IP: Enter the SNMP trap server IP address.
Community Name: Enter the SNMP community name. This is the community access string when
sending SNMP trap packet. The allowed string length is 0 to 255, and the allowed content is ASCII
characters from 33 to 126.
Severity Level: At the dropdown select Emerg, Alert, Crit, Error, Warning, Notice, Info, Debug.
For SNMP traps, configure severity level as Debug. Indicates what kind of message will send to trap
server. Possible modes are:
Emerg: System is unusable.
Alert: Action must be taken immediately.
Crit: Critical conditions.
Error: Error conditions.
Warning: Warning conditions.
Notice: Normal but significant conditions.
Info: Information messages.
