5-4 PoE Auto Power Reset
This page lets you specify the auto detection parameters to check the link status between PoE
ports and PDs. When it detects a failed connection, it will reboot the remote PD automatically.
Web Interface
To configure Power over Ethernet Auto Power Reset in the web interface:
1. Click PoE Management and PoE Auto Power Reset.
2. Enable the Ping Check function.
3. Specify the PD’s IP address, checking startup time, interval time, retry time, failure action
and reboot time.
4. Click Apply to apply the change.

Parameter descriptions:
Ping Check: Enable the Ping Check function to detect the connection between PoE port and power
device. Disable will turn off the detection.
Port: This is the logical port number for this row.
Ping IP Address: The PD's IP Address the system should ping.
Startup Time: After startup time, device will enable auto checking. Default: 30; range: 30-60 seconds.
Interval Time(sec): Device will send checking message to PD each interval time. Default: 30; range:
10-120 seconds.
Retry Time: When PoE port can't ping the PD, it will retry to send detection again. When ping fails the
third time, it will trigger the configured Failure Action. Default: 3; range: 1-5.
Failure Log: Failure loggings counter.
Failure Action: The action when the third fail detection.
Nothing: Keep Pinging the remote PD but do nothing further.
Reboot: Cut off the power of the PoE port, make PD reboot.
Reboot time(sec): When PD has been rebooted, the PoE port restore power after the specified time.
Default: 15, range: 3-120 seconds.
