Usage Features

  • Getting Started:
    • Battery Installation: Requires four 1.5V AA batteries. The battery compartment is located on the back of the scale. Users are advised to replace all four batteries at the same time and not mix old with new.
    • Pairing: The scale automatically pairs with the system upon first use. A signal symbol on the LCD indicates the quality of the network signal. If pairing is successful, "[]" is shown; if it fails, "E1" is displayed.
    • Unit Selection: A "UNIT" button inside the battery compartment allows users to select between pounds (lb), kilograms (kg), and stones (st).
  • Measuring:
    • Step onto the platform and remain still.
    • Avoid moving or talking during measurement.
    • After measurement, the display briefly blinks and shows the results.
    • Step off the scale platform.
    • The device automatically transmits results. Upon successful transmission, "oH" is displayed, and the data transmitting icon stops blinking.
  • Safety Information:
    • Placement: Place the scale on a hard, flat surface. Soft surfaces like carpet can affect accuracy.
    • Timing: Weigh yourself at least two hours after eating, preferably in the morning. Avoid weighing immediately after strenuous exercise, sauna, bath, drinking, or eating. Always weigh at the same time of day on the same scale and surface.
    • Contraindications: Not for pregnant women or individuals with wearable or implantable electronic devices (e.g., pacemakers, defibrillators).
    • Environment: Do not use on slippery floors, immediately after bathing, or with wet feet. Avoid extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, moisture, or corrosive environments. Keep out of reach of infants, children, and pets.
    • EMC: Nearby portable and mobile RF communications equipment may affect performance. The scale can also interfere with electrical equipment. Avoid use near active High Frequency surgical equipment or in RF shielded rooms of Medical Equipment systems for magnetic resonance imaging.
    • Maintenance: Do not open or repair the device yourself. Do not use if damaged.

Maintenance Features

  • Cleaning:
    • Use a dry soft cloth to wipe dust off the device.
    • For dirt, use a wet soft cloth dipped in water and wrung out, then dry with a dry soft cloth.
    • DO NOT wash the device with water or immerse it.
    • DO NOT use propellant, abrasive, or other chemicals to clean to avoid discoloration or malfunction.
  • Storage: Avoid storing where there is water, extreme temperatures, humidity, moisture, direct sunlight, dust, risk of shock or dropping, or near chemicals/corrosive gases. Keep out of reach of infants or children.
  • Battery Replacement: When "Lo" and the battery symbol appear, replace all four AA batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard, or rechargeable batteries. If not using for a prolonged period, remove batteries.
  • Troubleshooting: The manual provides a table of error codes (e.g., "Lo" for low battery, "E1" for cellular connection error, "E4" for weak signal, "E5" for SIM error, "EErr" for damaged IC) with corresponding resolutions. For issues like "No display," check battery installation or replacement.
