General Bike Safety Practices

Assembling the Bike

Instructions

Quick Release Seat Clamp

Unlock lever, adjust seat height for rider comfort and control. Ensure minimum insertion marks are not visible.

Handlebar Adjustment

Loosen stem bolt, rotate handlebar to desired angle, re-tighten, and check cable orientation.

Electric System Operation

Features a Promovec pedal-assist system. Activate via key, use ON/OFF button, select assist level 1-5, and pedal for movement.

Gear Shifting

Use rear shifter on right handlebar. Lower gears for climbing/slower riding, higher for speed. Use index finger to shift up, thumb down.

Parking Lock

To lock: press left brake lever IN, rotate small lever left. To unlock: press left brake lever IN, rotate small lever right.

Removable Bottom Plate

Remove for easy passenger entry. Passengers rest feet on sides or full surface. Do not stand on the front footrest.

Seat Belt Fastening and Release

Fasten latch across body, insert into buckle (listen for click). Tug to secure. Release by pressing orange button on buckle.

Seat Belt Adjustment

Turn adjustable latch to lengthen webbing. Pull top webbing to shorten. Connect left belt to right buckle for single passenger.

Blanket Attachment

Attach lower corner elastic straps to nuts below mudguards. Attach upper corner straps to nuts near front rail supports.

Hood Operation

Unfold/fold hood by loosening/tightening screw handles on rails, zipping corners, and fastening Velcro strips.

General Maintenance Advice

Tire Maintenance

Maintain correct tire pressure (4.5 Bar / 65 PSI) for control, handling, and tire longevity.

Battery Care

Charge batteries every 4 weeks, even when parked. Refer to Promovec manual for complete instructions.

Spoke Tension Check

Check spoke tension and tighten after 100 km, and repeat monthly or every 1000 km.

Ensure the chain is oiled, clean, and runs smoothly.

Cranks and Pedals Check

Pedals and crank arms must be securely tightened to the axle and not bent.

Frame Check

Verify the frame is not bent or broken, and quick-release clamps are locked.

Steering Check

Ensure handlebar/post are adjusted and tightened correctly for proper steering, and the binder bolt is secure.

Wheels and Tires Check

Check wheels are attached, tires are inflated to recommended pressure, and have adequate tread with no bulges or wear.
