Do not operate the throttle while the engine is at idle. This will give an inaccurate oil
level on the engine oil dipstick.
• Stop the engine, then wait for at least three minutes to allow the oil to settle.
• Turn the oil filler cap anticlockwise and remove it.
• Remove the oil dipstick from the oil filler tube, wipe the dipstick clean and refit
into the oil filler tube, making sure to push the engine oil dipstick fully in.
• Remove the engine oil dipstick.
• The engine contains a sufficient amount of oil if the oil level is between the
minimum and maximum marks on the engine oil dipstick.
