Balancer Introduction
Two balancers are fitted to the engine, one in front of the crankshaft and one behind it
in the lower crankcase.
Both balancers are driven by the crankshaft and the front balancer has an extra gear to
drive the oil pump.
It is only the rear balancer that can be adjusted.

Front Balancer – Removal
Make sure the motorcycle is stabilised and adequately supported.
A correctly supported motorcycle will help prevent it from falling.
An unstable motorcycle may fall, causing injury to the operator or damage to the
motorcycle.
