8. Carefully manoeuvre the rear balancer out. While raising the balancer, hold the two
washers in their recess.

9. Check the condition of the two O-rings on the dead shaft, replace if necessary.

Balancer – Inspection
1. Inspect all gears for chipped or missing teeth.
2. Inspect all bearings for signs of seizure and any other damage. Check that all
bearings rotate smoothly and without tight spots.
