2. Stop the engine.
3. Remove the dead shaft clamp blanking plug located on the lower crankcase above
the side stand. Discard the washer.

4. Loosen the dead shaft pinch bolt a maximum of two complete turns to allow smooth
rotation of the balancer dead shaft in the clamp.
