Installing the Decoder
The locomotive must be in good electrical
and mechanical condition before installing the
decoder. The locomotive must be free of any
defects, malfunctions or dirt before installing the
decoder. You must be aware of the specifi cations
for the locomotive from the manufacturer.
Remove the bridge plug installed in the loco-
motive and plug the decoder in its place in the
connector. Make sure that you are plugging the
decoder into the connector correctly.
Nothing may be soldered to the decoder. This de-
coder cannot be installed in a locomotive, which
does not have the 21-pin connector!
