Remove the scoop/cap, keep the door on, and fill the grate with hardwood pellets.
Place a firelighter at the grate lip, light it, and slide the grate back into the burner.
Use a blow torch on the burner side for 30-45 seconds until pellets ignite.
Gradually top up pellets to maintain approximately 3cm below the hopper top.
Wear heatproof gloves, carefully remove the grate using the hopper lid, and shake ash into water.
Do not submerge or expose the Uuni grate directly to water to prevent damage.
