uvex pheos alpine is a multifunctional helmet for mountaineers and industrial workers. It
meets the requirements of
• EN 397 for industrial safety helmets and is also in accordance with
• EN 12492 for climbing helmets.
To ensure that uvex pheos alpine provides the best protection for these different applica-
tion areas, please observe the following instructions:
If you wish to wear the helmet for industrial protection, secure the chin strap as depicted
in Image 8 (delivery condition) using the chin strap holder at the back of the helmet on the
inner shell.
With the correct setting for head circumference, the perfect helmet fi t can be achieved.
Adjust the neck strap by using the rotating size adjuster.
The wearing height can be adjusted in two steps with the two rear anchors. For this, change
the holes of both anchors in the next position of the hook (Image 2).
It is also possible to attach the included (accessory) leather chin strap when wearing
the helmet for industrial purposes. Both sides of the headband have clips for attaching
the chin strap. To attach the chin strap, clip the eyelets into the corresponding T-shaped
attachments of the headband (Image 9).
If you wish to wear the helmet for working at heights/helmet for mountaineers, remove
the fi xed chin strap from the chin strap holder according to the instructions in Image 10.
Then adjust the helmet to your head circumference using the rotating size adjuster at the
back of the helmet (Image 11).
Then attach the chin strap and ensure that the back straps lie fl at across the rotating size
adjuster (Image 12).
Close the chin straps by ensuring that they are completely locked into the ratchet.
