When the direct connection to a sensor is open, any automatic operation through the
connected port is blocked.
1. Open a terminal connection to the QML data logger.
2. To enter the service mode, type the command open.
3. To open a direct connection to a sensor, type the appropriate command.

4. When finished with the configuration, terminate the service connection to the sensor
and the service connection to the QML data logger by typing the command close.

Troubleshooting Connection Problems
If you cannot connect to the QML data logger, the service connection is not opened and you
cannot work with the logger.
