1. Switch off the appliance and unplug it.
2. Insert a tool, such as a flathead screwdriver, into the small slot in the bottom of the separator
and push in gently, but with enough pressure to open it.
3. Place a container under the filter opening and empty it using the emergency drain hose (see
the section on Draining the waste water for specific procedures). Rotate the filter anticlockwise,
then unscrew it fully and remove it.
4. Clean the filter and the filter chamber.
5. Check that the pump rotor turns freely.
6. Refit the filter by re-inserting it and rotating it clockwise until it does not rotate any further.
7. Refit the cover.
Water inlet hose
• Regularly check the water supply hose to make sure that it is not weakened or cracked, and
replace it if necessary using a hose of the same type (available from the after-sales service
or an authorised dealer).
