Tyres
Not all tyres availa ble on the market
currently me et the structural requirem ents.
We recommend that you consult a
Vauxhall Authorised Repairer concerning
suitable tyre makes.
These ty res have u nd ergone spe cial tests
to establish their reliability, safety and
specific suitability for Vauxhall vehicles.

other tyres, ev en if they hav e bee n g ra nted
approval by the relevant authorities or in
some other form.

Winter tyres 3
Tyre sizes 185/60 R 15, 185/65 R 15,
195/45 R 16 and 195/50 R 16 are not
permitted for winter driving.
Exception: Tyres of size 185/60 R 15 may be
used as winter tyres.
If winter tyre s are in use, the spare whee l
may still be fitted w ith a summ er tyre. Use
of the spare wheel may alter vehicle
ha ndling. Obtain a replacement for the
fa ulty tyre as soon as possible, and have
the wheel balanced and fitted to the
vehicle.

Tyre chains 3
Ty re c hains may be use d on the front
wheels only.
We recomm end the use of tyre chains with
a fine mesh that add no more than 10 mm
to the running surface and the insides of
the tyres (including chain lock).
Tyre chains are not permitted on the spare
wh ee l and tyre s s ize s 18 5/ 6 0 R 15 ,
185/65 R 15, 195/45 R 16 and 195/50 R 16.
Exce ption: Tyre chains on ty res of siz e
185/60 R 15 are permitted.
Tyre chains are generally permitted on
tyres of size 185/55 R 15.

Wheels
Wheel bolt tightening torque: 110 Nm.
Spare wheel 3
Depending on the version, the spare wheel
is designed for use as a temporary spare
wheel 3 : the handling of the vehicle may
change if the spare wheel is used. Replace
a defectiv e tyre as soon as possible,
bala nce the wheel and fit it to vehicle. Pay
attention to notes on this page and on
3 118, 3 128.
On vehicles with alloy wheels 3 the spare
wheel may have a steel rim.
The spare wheel can b e fitted with a
smaller tyre

and a smaller rim than the
wheels fitted on the vehicle.
Tyre pressure in psi / bar
2)
The specified tyre pressure are v alid for
cold tyres. The increased tyre pressure
resulting from extensive driving must not
be reduced. The ty re pressure specified on
the following pages ap ply to both summer
and w inter tyres.
The spare wheel must always be filled with
the tyre pressure for a full load - see ta bles
on follow ing pages.
