Sele ctor l ever in P, R and N
The selector lever can only be moved from
P when the ignition is switched on and the
foot brake dep ressed (selec tor lever lock).
To engage P or R pull release under
selector lever.
The engine can only be started with lever in
position P or N. When position N is selected,
press foot brake or engage hand brake
before starting.
Do not a ccelerate d uring the selection
proc edure.
Drive ranges D, 3, 2, 1
To select 3 or 1 pu ll ha ndle be n eath
selector lever.
After the engine has been started and D
selected, the economy driving programme
is always operative.
P Park. Front wheels lock ed. Engage
only when vehicle is stationary and
hand brake is applied.
R Reverse gear. Engage only when
vehic le is stationary.
N Neutra l.
D Position for normal driving
conditions in 1st to 4th gear.
3, 2, 1 Transmission does not shift above
th e s ele c t ed g ear .
