of passengers; risk of fatal injury. If
carried in this w ay, c hild restraint
systems with transponders 3 in vehicles
with seat occupancy re cog nition 3 could
lead to front passenger airbag systems
not being trig gered in the event of a n
accident.
Vehic les with front passenger airbag 3
without side airbag 3: Child seats facing
the rear of the vehicle m ust not be
installed on the front passenger seat, risk
of fa ta l injury. Child sea ts facing the
direction of travel (child seats for weig ht
classes I, II and III , following pag es) may
be installed on the front p assenger seat
if the seat has been pushed back as far
as it will go and the backrest ha s b een
adjusted such that the lap b elt fits
snugly.
