Attach the anti-static wrist strap to the shelf receptacle before handling blades.
Inspect each blade and remove filler panels as needed before installation.
Install blades from left to right, ensuring each is properly seated before securing.
Hand-tighten the top and bottom spring-loaded screws to secure properly seated blades.
Repeat blade installation for all units and proceed to previous page steps.
Connect video source (camera/DVD) using component cables to the breakout cable.
Connect audio source (camera/DVD) using provided cables to the breakout cable.
If using HDMI, adjust the "Video Format" parameter in VBAdmin.
Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the appliance and the other to a network port or switch.
Connect the power cable to the appliance or shelf and then to an AC power source.
Allow the appliance to complete its power-on self-test and boot sequence.
Appliance searches for DHCP; note the IP address displayed on the LCD.
Use serial port for manual IP address, subnet mask, and gateway settings if DHCP fails.
Connect an ASCII terminal to the appliance's serial port (COM1) for configuration.
Launch HyperTerminal, configure port settings (9600 baud, 8N1) and log in as 'admin'.
Use the 'nt' command to set IP Address, Subnet Mask, and other network options.
Type 'apply' to save network configuration changes made via the command line.
Use VBAdmin management application to play the stream directly from the appliance.
Use StreamPlayer application on Windows to play the stream from the appliance.
