4. Contraindications
In some canals, the hand file used for determining the working length
(after the RECIPROC
®
instrument has reached 2/3 of the estimated work-
ing length) may need to be pre-curved in order to reach the working length.
This indicates the presence of an abrupt apical curvature. The use of
RECIPROC
®
instruments is contra-indicated in this instance. In these cases
the canal preparation has to be finished with hand files. This limitation also
applies to continuous rotary instruments.

6. Precautions
• Theinstrumentsmayonlybeusedbyqualiedpersonsindentists’
offices or clinics.
• ARECIPROC
®
instrument is designed for single use in maximum one
molar and cannot be reused. The instrument cannot be sterilised.
• Examinetheinstrumentduringtreatmentforsignsofwearsuchas
untwisting, bending or damaged cutting edges. In these cases,
instruments should be discarded.
