The Microprocessor
The microprocessor "chip" is the most important component of the computer.
Your Vector 4 has the capability of
using either of two different microproces-
sor chips. Whichever chip is in use is responsible for making decisions,
performing calculations, and executing the instructions or commands that you
give
it. The microprocessors, along with other electronic devices, are mounted
on a printed
circuit board inside the console.
