dataofthepreviousdaysorweeks.Thesuppliercanthusassessthe
requirements/consumptionofhiscustomersandplanhisdeliveries
accordingly.Thisallowshimtodoanticipatorypurchasingandalso
betterutilizethecapacityofhistruckeet.Inaddition,amessage
shouldbesentifthelevelinanytankfallsbelowacertainpredened
minimumvalue.Usingthismethod,thesuppliercanalwaysguaran-
teehiscustomersasucientsupplyofrawmaterialsforproduction
withouttheirhavingtobotherwithpurchasingandordering.Andhe
hastheaddedbenetoflong-termcustomerretentionandcontinu-
ous orders.
