Transmission maintenance normally requires performing the following tasks.
Any automatic transmission fluid (ATF) which meets the C-3 oil specification is recommended.
Before troubleshooting the transmission, check the following:
Perform all pressure checks at normal operating temperature.

Obtain the index number assigned to the item(s) required from the illustration.
The V-Drive gearbox is mounted on the back of a 71C or 72C transmission.
