Overview

The Venen Engel 6 Mobil is a compression therapy device designed for lymphatic drainage and massage, primarily for the legs, but also adaptable for the abdomen and arms with appropriate accessories. It operates by sequentially inflating and deflating air chambers within cuffs, creating a gliding pressure massage that promotes circulation and reduces swelling.

Function Description:

The core function of the Venen Engel 6 Mobil is to provide a dynamic compression massage. Users connect a hose set to the cuffs, ensuring the longest tube goes to the foot air chamber, and then connect the multi-plug from the hose set to the control unit. The control unit is powered by an external power supply connected to a wall outlet. Once set up, the device allows users to select a run time (from 5 to 99 minutes), a pressure level (from 30 to 240 mmHg), and one of four pre-programmed massage programs (A-D). These programs dictate the sequence and pattern of inflation for the six air chambers within each cuff, creating an optimal and relaxing experience. Individual air chambers can be excluded from the massage if desired. The device also features a battery level indicator for convenient monitoring.

Usage Features:

The Venen Engel 6 Mobil is designed for ease of use.

  • Setup: Connecting the hose set to the cuffs and the multi-plug to the control unit is straightforward. The multi-plug has two clips that need to be depressed for insertion, and its small fittings should align with the openings above the air outlets on the control unit.
  • Operation: The control unit features clear buttons for power, time adjustment, pressure adjustment, program selection, and start/pause. Individual chambers can be excluded by pressing their corresponding number keys.
  • Cuff Application: For optimal hygiene and comfort, it's recommended to wear thin jogging pants or leggings. Pockets should be empty, and cuffs zipped completely closed to prevent sudden opening. Care should be taken to avoid kinking the tubing during use.
  • Accessories: The device is compatible with extension flaps for cuffs and arm cuffs. Attaching an extension flap involves zipping it onto the existing cuff. For arm cuffs, the user pulls the cuff onto their arm, ensuring the end sits on the shoulder, then runs a strap under the other arm and attaches it to the front of the cuff with Velcro.
  • Abdomen Cuff Placement: When using an abdomen cuff, it should sit directly against the top of the leg cuffs. It's advised to put on the leg cuffs first, then place the abdomen cuff behind you on the ground (inside facing up), lay back onto it, adjust to the correct height, and zip it around the stomach.
  • Combining Cuffs: If using additional cuffs, users should ensure they pay attention to the number of air chambers when purchasing and may need an appropriate hose set for combination use.

Maintenance Features:

  • Cleaning: The cuffs can be cleaned using a damp cloth and mild detergent. They should be allowed to dry thoroughly. Disinfectants like Descosept pur or similar products are suitable for disinfecting the cuffs.
  • Storage: After use, the air chambers can be quickly deflated by pressing on them with both hands. The gray tube cuff connectors can remain attached. For storage, the cuffs (including tubes) should be placed on top of each other and rolled loosely together.
  • Troubleshooting:
    • Air escaping: Check tubes and connectors for damage or kinks, and ensure the multi-plug is correctly seated in the control unit.
    • Cuffs inflating in wrong order: Verify the multi-plug is inserted with the correct orientation, ensuring the small fittings are in the openings above the air outlets.
    • Device pumps air but cuffs don't inflate: Check if the multi-plug is correctly inserted into the controller, ensure air hoses are not kinked or sat on, and confirm all plugs in the cuffs are properly inserted.
  • Safety: The device should not be disassembled or burned. Repairs should only be carried out by specialists authorized by Wellcosan GmbH to maintain warranty validity. In case of damage or contact with water/liquids, the mains plug should be disconnected, and the unit switched off. It should not be used in damp rooms, subjected to shocks, or covered during operation. Hoses should not be twisted or kinked. The unit should be kept away from heat sources and switched off when not in use (it automatically switches off after 10 minutes of inactivity). The appliance should always be unplugged from the mains before cleaning. It should be kept away from children or persons not instructed in its use. The device carries CE and UKCA markings, indicating conformity with relevant directives and regulations. It should be disposed of via an electronic waste disposal company at the end of its service life.
