Why is my Vicmarc Machinery Lathe making a knocking noise?

If you hear a knocking noise when your Vicmarc Machinery Lathe is running, it could be due to wood splinters or other foreign objects contaminating the pulleys or V-belt. To resolve this, turn off the main switch and remove the contaminants. Alternatively, a grub screw on the headstock or motor pulley might be loose. Locate and retighten the grub screw.
