4. Verify that the DHCP server is running, if your site uses DHCP to assign IP addresses.
5. View the terminal's properties using the terminal management software.
6. Make sure that the terminal's IP address is set to 0 (if appropriate) using zeroes, not
the letter O.
7. Make sure that the application's host IP address is correct.
8. Make sure that the IP address is unique.
9. Verify all applications are running properly.
Flashing red and orange
The LED indicator should flash red and orange when the terminal is receiving a firmware
download.
Off
The LED indicator turns off completely when a terminal is powered off.
Note: When a terminal is powered off, the indicator will turn red first and then turn off.
When the indicator is off and it should not be
1. Make sure the battery is properly installed.
2. Turn the terminal on.
3. Make sure the terminal is properly placed into a charger.
Solid green
The LED indicator should be solid green when the terminal is on. It also may turn solid green
during parts of the firmware loading process.
The indicator also must be solid green when:
• adjusting volume using the "Talkman louder" or "Talkman softer" voice controls or the +/—
button
• getting help using the Talkman help or Talkman repeat voice controls
• sampling background noise
• retraining a word
• resuming regular operation after using the Talkman continue voice control
• erasing data using the Talkman back up or Talkman erase voice controls
• changing the active operator (see Loading an Operator Template)
When the indicator is solid green but the terminal does not
respond to voice or button controls
1. Put the terminal to sleep and then turn it back on.
2. Turn the terminal off then back on
.
3. Reboot the terminal.
4. Give the operator a new terminal and load the operator’s template onto it.
Solid orange
You should not see this indicator. Reboot the terminal.
