T5 10-Bay Combination Charger
A T5 terminal should be placed into a charger when it is not in use. The charger serves as a link
to the host computer so that new tasks can be downloaded, terminal settings can be
reconfigured, and terminal software can be updated. The terminal charger also charges the
battery that is currently connected to the terminal.
Product notes
• The T5 10-Bay Combination Charger is available in one model that includes five battery
slots and five terminal slots. The charger can be used to store as many as five terminals
at a time. The charger can be used to store and charge up to ten batteries at a time -
five batteries in the charger's upper battery slots and five batteries connected to
terminals in the charger's lower terminal slots.
• Only Vocollect-approved batteries should be charged in the charger. Do not attempt to
charge any other type of battery in the charger.
• A T5 terminal should not be placed into a terminal charger without a battery
attached to it. Do not remove the battery from the terminal when placing the
terminal into a charger.
• A terminal will always be on when it is in a charger. Therefore, when a terminal that is
powered off is placed into a charger, it will automatically turn on and the terminal's
LED indicator will eventually begin to blink green.
Note: If a terminal that has been in use for more than 8 straight hours is placed into
a charger without first being powered off, the terminal will automatically power off
and then back on after it has been in the charger for 5 minutes. Also, if a terminal
has been sitting in a charger for more than 8 straight hours, the terminal will
automatically power off and then back on.
• It is strongly recommended that a protective device such as an uninterruptible power
supply with surge protection and lightning arrestor capability be used in conjunction
with the charger.
• Keep water and moisture away from the charger at all times. If a battery has any
