To observe when towing
Steering must be unlocked.
Observe legal speeds.
● Remember that power brake and power steering assists will not be available when engine is
inoperative. Pedal pressure is 3 - 4 times above normal and steering effort increased.
Towing cars equipped with automatic transmission:
Gear selector in position N. Check transmission oil level (see
page 56).
Maximum speed: 20 mph (30 km/h).
Maximum distance: 20 miles (30 km).
THE ENGINE CANNOT BE STARTED BY PUSHING OR PULLING THE CAR.
When jump starting, observe that the booster battery + must be connected to the car battery +.
The booster battery - must be connected to the car battery-. Any other connection will damage
alternator and electronic components.
