interruption in power delivery, there is an
automatic transmission. It offers maximum

I-Sync.
Combine excellent driver comfort and fuel
efficiency with I-Sync. It offers 6 gears
with automated gearshifting for easy
operation.
PTO.
All transmissions offer several power take-
off possibilities to provide power to extra
attachments or machinery.
Manual.
When opting for a manual shift transmission
you have the option of six or nine speeds.
The six-speed transmission is suited for
inner-city driving while the nine-speed is
adapted for applications with high demands
on startability and performance.
Disc brakes.
The Volvo FL has pneumatic brakes with
lightweight discs both front and rear. The
Electronically controlled Brake System
(EBS) features anti-locking function and
provides faster braking response and less
brake wear.
Focused driving with I-Sync.
I-Sync – Volvo’s smooth, intelligent transmission featuring automatic gearshifting – makes
distribution operations even more comfortable. You can devote your attention to driving
safely, concentrating fully on the intensive pace of the city’s traffic. The gearbox has 6 gears
and the top gear has an overdrive ratio. All gears are synchronised and gear changing is
made with a stalk behind the steering wheel with the aid of electrohydraulics. There is no
clutch pedal. The I-Sync also helps lower fuel consumption.
EBS.
The Electronically controlled Brake System
incorporates an anti-locking system and
delivers fast braking response and reduced
brake wear.
