The feature is preset to AUTO. You may also manually
change the power fail back-up setting.
Press MENU when the handset is not in use.
Press or to scroll to HS SETTINGS.
Press OK and or to scroll to POWER OUTAGE.
Press OK and or to select MANUAL, AUTO or
OFF.
Press OK to save your selection. You hear a
conrmation tone.
Notes:
If OFF is selected, Power Fail Back-Up mode will
not be enabled.
If AUTO is selected, the registered handset(s) will
display Put on BS to power outage for about
2 seconds, followed by PWR OUTAGE NO PICK UP
when mains power interruption occurs. Place the
handset with sufcient battery power (usually
not lower than level 2) onto the main base unit
to activate Power Fail Back-Up and start up the
base. If handset is already on the main base unit it
will automatically activate the Power Fail Back-Up
mode (if it has sufcient battery power) and start
up the base. If AUTO is selected and handset is
not returned to base unit within approximately
2 minutes the handset will temporarily revert to
Manual mode to converse battery power.
If MANUAL is selected, the registered handset(s)
will display TO PWR UP HOLD OFF KEY when mains
power interruption occurs. Press and hold and
then place the handset onto the main base unit to
activate the Power Fail Back-Up mode and start up
the base.
