Campmobile 67
A) General
The interior of the Campmobile 67 ist designed, built and
supplied by the Westfalia-Werke, Wiedenbruck.
Westfalia-Werke, Franz Knobel & Sohne KG, Wiedenbruck
have enjoyed an excellent reputation for many years as
manufacturers of vehicles, trailers, and interior equipment.
Their reputation for quality products was recognized as early
as 1952 when Westfalia-Werke was first selected by
Volkswagen for the development of camping equipment.
Your Campmobile represents the accumulation of these many
years of experience in quality of design and manufacture.
Campmobile equipment installation and production are
inspected by Volkswagen to assure continuing high
standards of quality are met for each vehicle.
The VW Campmobile will sleep two adults and up to two
children. Additional sleeping facilities are provided by the
optional free standing tent. There are a number of storage
areas for gear as well as wardrobe space. The furniture is
made of 9-ply laminated wood, and all visible surfaces are
covered with mar resistant wood-grained plastic.
The floor covering in the living compartment consists of two
layers of plywood, covered with felt and PVC lining.
The interior paneling of the living compartment is birch
plywood in clear varnish finish. There is a thick layer of
insulating material between the body shell and the interior
lining.
The seats and berths are upholstered with polyester foam
and have protective and removable leatherette covers.

A) Allgemeines
Die Westfalia-Werke, Wiedenbrück, konstruierten und liefern
die Innenausstattung für das VW-Campmobile 67.
Seit 1844 haben die Westfalia-Werke, Franz Knöbel & Söhne
KG., Wiedenbrück, als Hersteller von Fahrzeugen, Anhängern
und Einrichtungen einen vortrefflichen Ruf.
Das VW-Werk entschloß sich daher bereits 1952 ihre Sonder-
ausführungen, so auch Campmobile, bei den Westfalia-
Werken entwickeln und herstellen zu lassen.
VW-Campmobile bieten Platz für zwei bis vier Personen.
Je nach Ausstattung ist Vorrats- und Schrankraum
vorhanden. Die weitgehend unempfindlichen Möbel sind
aus Sperrholz bis zu neunfacher Verleimung hergestellt.
Alle sichtbaren Oberflächen sind mit kratzfesten Kunststoff-
platten beschichtet.
Zwei Sperrholzplatten übereinander, abgedeckt mit Filz-
unterlage und PVC-Schicht, bilden den Bodenbelag im
Wohnteil.
Der Wohnteil und das Dach des Fahrerhauses sind mit
Birkensperrholzplatten, natur lackiert, verkleidet. Zwischen
der Karosserie und den Verkleidungsplatten befindet sich
eine ausreichend dicke Isolierschicht.
Die Sitz- bzw. Schlafflächen bestehen aus Polyäther-
Schaumstoff, über die abnehmbares Kunstleder (Skai)
gezogen ist.
Alle Bau- und Sicherheitsbestimmungen der amerikanischen
Behörden fanden Berücksichtigung.
