What to do if WÄRTSILÄ Accessories system shows no scene?
    • M
      Michelle MerrittAug 5, 2025
If your WÄRTSILÄ Accessories system seems to be working but isn't displaying a scene even when close to a structure, try the following: * Ensure the dynamic and static blanking zones are correctly configured. * Clean the SceneScan Sensor window. * Verify pulses are present in the Dashboard Power menu and the Zoom control on the main screen is appropriately set. * Confirm the Tilt controls are correctly adjusted. * Check that the Power controls in the Power menu are properly set. * Ensure the Minimum Range Filter in the Power menu is appropriately configured. * Make sure the Sensor has an unobstructed view of the scene.

Why is WÄRTSILÄ Accessories tracking, but the DP system receives no data?
    • R
      Rebekah NortonAug 10, 2025
If the WÄRTSILÄ Accessories system is tracking, but the vessel's DP system isn't receiving data, check the following: 1. Inspect the DP Feed connection from the Sensor. 2. Verify that the DP Message Format matches the configuration of the vessel’s DP system. 3. Ensure the 'Enable DP Output' button is not visible on the Dashboard. If it is, press it to enable the DP output.

How to fix no communication between SceneScan Dashboard and WÄRTSILÄ Accessories Sensor?
    • M
      Matthew Young DDSAug 17, 2025
If there is no communication between the SceneScan Dashboard and the WÄRTSILÄ Accessories Sensor, try these steps: Click the Disconnect button and then the Connect button. Check the power and client connections to the Sensor. Ensure the unit displays the current time on the Sensor Information Display; if errors are shown, power cycle the Sensor. Verify that the Sensor displays the same IP address on the Sensor Information Display as the Dashboard Sensor Comms pane.

What to do if WÄRTSILÄ Accessories rotor does not rotate?
    • N
      Nina MclaughlinAug 23, 2025
If the rotor on your WÄRTSILÄ Accessories unit isn't rotating, consider these potential solutions: * Make sure the unit's temperature is above -15°C, as the rotor is designed to prevent spinning below this temperature to protect the Sensor mechanics. * Check the Dashboard for a 'Motor Stall' alarm; if present, suspend and then resume the unit to restart the motor. * Inspect the Sensor rotor for any mechanical blockages and remove them. * Check the Sensor Information Display on the system unit for any displayed errors. If errors are present, power cycle the unit and watch the messages on the display. * Look for ice buildup under the rotor and remove any ice that may be present.

Why does WÄRTSILÄ Accessories lose scene in cold weather?
    • E
      Erik LynnAug 29, 2025
If your WÄRTSILÄ Accessories system works correctly but loses the scene in cold weather, check the Sensor window for condensation or ice and clean it if necessary.
