IMPORTANT INFORMATION
NOTE: This product is a 4-stroke engine powered machine.
THE ENGINE IS SHIPPED WITHOUT PETROL OR OIL.
You MUST fill with the engine with recommended 4-stroke SAE30 or 10W/30 air cooled lawnmower engine
oil BEFORE starting. Please follow the steps in theis manual on filling the engine.
Fresh (Under 30 days old from the date of purchase) unleaded petrol must be used in this unit. E10 petrol is
compatible with your machine. DO NOT use predominantly Ethanol based fuels. DO NOT mix oil with fuel.
WARNING
Stop the engine and unplug the spark plug before any repairs or maintenance operations.
DO NOT attempt to start this machine without it first being FULLY assembled.
DO NOT attempt to start this mower without first adding 4-stroke SAE30 or 10W/30 air cooled lawnmower
engine oil to the engine.

The lawn scarifier/aerator is pushed by hand over the area of grass to be cut. The cutters are driven by a petrol
engine. The depth of cut is set by varying the central height-adjustment mechanism individually.
AERATOR: The cylinder rotates and removes the felt layer formed by moss, lichen and weeds and conveys the
scarified material to the outside or into the grass catcher. During cutting the cutters penetrate the ground and
therefore ensure that the lawn is loosened and absorbs nutrients better. We recommend dethatching the lawn
in spring (April/May) and autumn (October).
SCARIFIER: The cylinder rotates and combs the lawn or aerates the slightly mossy areas. The removed moss is
conveyed outwards or into the grass catcher. During aeration, the surface of the ground is scratched; this
improves water drainage and facilitates the absorption of oxygen. We recommend scarifying the lawn during
the entire growing period as and when required.
