• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8
years and above if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way
and if they understand the hazards involved. Cleaning
and user maintenance shall not be made by children un-
less they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the unit
and cord out of reach of children aged less than 8 years.
• Appliance can be used by persons with reduced physi-
cal, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience
and knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way
and if they understand the hazards involved.
• Children shall not play with the appliance.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified
persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• When the unit is cleaned after use, it must not be sub-
merged in water or any other fluid.
• Be especially aware of “special security instructions”

Special safety instructions for this device
• The device must only be filled with cold water.
• Decalcification should be done regularly, as needed. If this is not observed, the
guarantee on the product will lapse.
• Unplug when not in use.
• Never use a coffee jug on the hob or in microwave.
• Always unplug the appliance before cleaning.
First use of the machine

Please start the coffee maker with fresh water and without coffee before it is used for the
first time.
