1. Measure the distance between the flange on the outer blade guide roller to the back edge of the
blade. This distance should measure 1/8" (3.0 mm). Adjust the roller back or forward if neces-
sary.
See Figure 8-26. Loosen the top and one side screw shown.Tap the blade guide forward or
backward until properly positioned. Retighten the screws and jam nuts.
2. Measure the distance between the flange on the inner blade guide roller to the back edge of the
blade. This distance should measure 1/16" (1.5 mm). Adjust the roller back or forward if neces-
sary.
Side Support Alignment
Logs and boards are clamped against the side supports when sawing. The sides supports must
be square to the bed to ensure square lumber.
1. Place a flat board across the bed rails. Swing a side support up so that it is vertical.
2. Pull back at the top of the support to eliminate slack as if a log were being clamped against it.
3. Place a square against the face of the side support. The side support should be square or slightly
tilted forward 1/32" (0.8 mm). Adjust the vertical tilt of the side support if necessary.
