3. Make sure the side supports are positioned low enough for the blade to pass over them. If they are
not, back the clamp off slightly and push the side supports down until they are positioned below the
level of your first few cuts.
4. Use the toe board levers to level the log if desired.
To Level A Tapered Log:
Use the toe board levers to raise either end of a tapered log, if desired.
2.9 Up/Down Operation
1. Install a blade and check for correct blade tension. (See Section 2.4.)
2. Set the cutting head to the desired height. (The blade height scale shows the height of the blade
above the bed rails.)
See Figure 2-23. The up/down switch is located on the right side of the control panel. Push the
switch up to raise the cutting head; push the switch down to lower the cutting head. Hold the switch in
