5.12 Blade Guide Spacing
HINT: When adjusting blade guide spacing, loosen the top set screw and one side set screw only.
This will ensure horizontal and vertical tilt adjustments are maintained when the set screws are
retightened.
1. Adjust the inner blade guide so the blade guide flange is approximately 1/16"-1/8" (1.5-3.0 mm)
from the back of the blade.
2. Loosen one side and one top set screw shown. Tap the blade guide forward or backward until
properly positioned.
See Figure 5-16.
3. Retighten the two set screws.
4. Adjust the outer blade guide in the same way so the blade guide flange is approximately 1/16"-1/8"
(1.5-3.0 mm) from the back of the blade.
