2.8 Board Return
WARNING! The automatic board return is intended to assist a
second operator in removing boards quickly. Do not use the
board return when operating the sawmill alone. Serious injury,
death or damage to the equipment may result.
WARNING! Never use the board return table as a platform to
stand on. This table is designed and intended to assist in the
removal of boards only. Standing on the table may result in
serious injury.
Sawmills can be equipped with a board return system. This system consists of an arm on the saw
head controlled by a toggle switch on the control panel. A board return table is also provided to
catch the board as it is removed from the log
.
To activate the board return, turn the key switch to the accessory (#3) or start (#1) position. Push
the toggle switch on the control panel down. The board return arm located in the middle of the saw
head will drop into position.
