2.12 Blade Guide Arm Operation
1. Look down the length of the log to see its maximum width. The outer blade guide should be
adjusted to clear the widest section of the log by less than 1" (25.4 mm).
2. Use the blade guide toggle switch on the control panel to adjust the outer blade guide as neces-
sary. Push the switch to the left to move the arm in. Push the switch to the right to move the arm
out.
See Figure 2-12.
3. Use the blade guide toggle switch to readjust the outer blade guide as you are cutting in order to
keep the guide within 1" (2.5 cm) of the log. Be sure to adjust the arm back out before returning the
carriage.
